In This World of Ups and Downs

In this world of ups and downs,
We wear our smiles, we hide our frowns.
Through stormy nights and blazing days,
We walk through life in countless ways.
Some roads are rough, some paths are wide,
Some hearts are broken deep inside.
Yet every scar, each silent pain,
Becomes the strength we learn to gain.
The mountains teach us how to climb,
The falling rain reveals its rhyme.
For after darkness comes the dawn,
And after weakness, strength is born.
A river bends but still moves on,
It does not quit because it’s torn.
So too must we rise from despair,
With hope alive through every prayer.
The poor man dreams beneath the sky,
The rich man still asks, “Who am I?”
For gold cannot replace the soul,
Nor power make a wounded whole.
Life is a teacher, wise and cold,
It breaks the weak, refines the bold.
The fire that tries to burn your name
May one day build your lasting flame.
Do not fear when seasons change,
Or when your world feels dark and strange.
The stars shine brightest in the night,
And broken hearts still carry light.
So when you stumble, do not fall
Into the fear that ends it all.
Stand once again, lift up your crown,
In this world of ups and downs.
