ALWAYS ON TRACK
A True Life Story of Resilience, Purpose and Unstoppable Drive
By Amb. Solomon Oluwatimileyin David
In a place in Nigeria, a young boy once faced the kind of challenges that could easily derail dreams. That boy is me — Solomon Oluwatimileyin David. Life taught me early that the path to purpose is rarely smooth, but with focus, faith, and determination, one can remain always on track.
While I was still in SS1, I took a bold step and founded the Dynamic Authors and Thought Leaders Literary and Editorial Enterprise (DATTLEECO) in October 2020. Many people thought it was too early for a secondary school student to start such an initiative, but I believed the time to begin was now. The journey was not easy. I faced setbacks, limited resources, and moments when progress seemed slow. Yet, I refused to give up.
After completing secondary school, I sat for the WAEC examination but did not pass. Instead of allowing that failure to define me, I used it as fuel. While preparing to rewrite the exams, I poured my energy into writing and mentoring others. I resuscitated DATTLEECO in October 2025 with renewed vision and passion.
Through DATTLEECO, I have designed and delivered a 5-Day Intensive Mentorship Program that has trained over 40 emerging writers in ghostwriting, copywriting, scriptwriting, content writing, and creative writing. Seeing my students grow in confidence and skill has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey.
Along the way, I have come across many people, mentors, and leaders from the USA, Vietnam, China, India, Africa, and other parts of the world who have generously helped and guided me. Their support, wisdom, and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping my growth and expanding the reach of my work.
Writing became both my refuge and my weapon. I authored several novels including Coldblood, The Billionaire in the Midst of Storm, The Torned Throne, Gold in Name, and Where We Began. My short stories — Well of God’s Blessing, The Road Back to Life, The Awakening of Tobi, and How Peace Can Reign Among Youth — carry messages of resilience, personal transformation, peace, and hope.
Beyond literature, I have served as a Volunteer Nurse Assistant, supporting community literacy and health initiatives. I have earned certifications in emergency care, public health, caregiving, and soft skills. My dedication has also earned me meaningful recognitions, including the Avoid World War III Cognitive Reminder Award, a Certificate of Recognition from Roy International Cosmic Harmony University, the Distinguished Literary Impact Award from Endtime Harvesters Bible College and Seminary, and my recent appointment as Ambassador of the Divine Insight Pool of Life Institute Global.
One of the highlights of my journey was hosting the webinar “No Money, No Problem,” teaching young leaders worldwide how to build powerful personal brands from scratch without money. The impact of those sessions reminded me why staying on track matters.
My story is not about perfection or instant success. It is about a young Nigerian who faced failure in WAEC, started an organisation while still in SS1, experienced delays and doubts, yet chose to keep moving forward with the help of mentors and leaders from different parts of the world. It is a story of consistent effort, late nights writing, mentoring others, and believing that purpose can turn every setback into a setup for greater things.
To every young person reading this, especially those who have experienced failure or feel limited by their beginnings: Stay on track. Failures are not final destinations — they are detours that can strengthen your resolve. Keep learning, keep serving, keep connecting with those who can lift you higher, and keep creating. The track may be long, but if you remain focused and faithful, it will lead you to places you once only dreamed of.
I am still walking this path. DATTLEECO continues to grow. More stories are being written. More lives are being touched. And through it all, I remain fully committed — always on track.
